Spring at Black Fig Gallery
6 September – 2 October 2025
Opening Event: Saturday 6 September, 1–4pm
Two exhibitions. One opening.
Robyn Barron’s The Secret Garden invites you into quiet, enclosed sanctuaries, spaces where vulnerability is protected, imagination flourishes, and nature reclaims its place. Her still life photography becomes a metaphor for inner growth and the beauty of what lies beneath the surface, offering moments of stillness and encounters with mystery.
Alongside Robyn, artist and painter Jemima Patch-Taylor brings her warm, observational landscapes and figurative works, rooted in a deep connection to place. Her paintings are an exploration of light, land, and lived moments ... scenes that feel both intimate and expansive, often capturing the quiet poetry of the everyday.
Together, this exhibition mark the first of our spring program. It’s a paired show of distinct voices.
One that celebrates the seen and unseen, the cultivated and the wild
And the other an invitation to slow down, look closer, and let the season unfold.
What to expect at the opening:
• Meet both artists
• View two distinct bodies of work
• See live painting sessions from Jemima during the exhibition period
• Connect with the first show of our spring program
Join us for the opening event on Saturday 6 September, 1–4pm. Meet the artists, explore the work, and enjoy the start of a new season at Black Fig Gallery.
Entry is free. All works are for sale.
